I feel reeaaally bad for abandoning this diary for so long, I've just been distracted is all.

Gilbert is a statue, in short.
It just sort of happened; out of nowhere this ship came and turned him to stone.
Some others are stone too, Ludwig Krug, Ellery Trueman, Jonathan Hale, John Fenwick, and Pedr Llanberris.
It's been a while now, and they're all still stone.

At least they're all moved to the churchyard now, rather than the docks.

And then there was the Carrot and I felt really bad that I went to the Carrot with Mister Snicket. Sorry, Gilbert.

The Spanish and their giant metal man and steaming crabs came, which was exciting.

Umm...Well, I've met lots of new people! There's been a lot of them lately, since Mr. Pemberton took over the Vicarage and what with all the new workhouse girls popping up all over the place.

I was talking with Cassie Barrow today, and she was telling me about a secret cupboard at the workhouse where someone was attempting a summoning. It seems really interesting, so I told her I'd stop by to look.
She was really nice.

She also suggested that I investigate the murder!
I've got lots of work to do!

Oh my goodness.

Verity is amazing. I'm just upset I never got to see the picture of Marianna.
I'm sure it was priceless.

But ugh! Marianna annoys me so much! Especially the way she talks about not only me and Verity, but other people too.

I can't believe she's even related to Gilbert. Actually, he seems to be the only nice one in the family. For some reason I recall having a bad experience with his mother...

It's a pity some people turn out like that.

Yesterday was the wedding for Mrs. Christopher and Mr. Fenwick. So now its Mr. and Mrs. Fenwick. But I was having a nice time talking with Gilbert and Joe and Lydia and Verity and Gilly and other people, at least until Marianna came around. She is so mean! I can't stand her. I lost my temper and kicked dirt at her. Then she called me a whore. Even though I'm not. I'm not! Gilbert got all defensive. It was nice.
Verity and Gilly and I went to the Wag after that. And Mrs. Trueman made it so I kinda told everyone about me and Gilbert courting. Only does it still count? I hope so...

I saw Gilbert this morning in the Vicarage. We talked some, and he told me about what happened with his father. I feel so bad for him, but I can't do much about it. After all, I don't have the same problem. Actually, I love my Daddy. I tried to be extra nice. We started talking a bit about the Other Place after that, and then Gilbert suggested I investigate what happened with the piratess. I'm sort of angry at Daddy for letting her go. Maybe I can use this journal as a notebook instead! I do miss my notebook from the Other Place, a lot.

I think I liked the Other Place a lot, and it's getting harder and harder to remember. Things just keep getting foggier. Like a dream, almost. But then there's me and Gilbert, and I know it couldn't have been a dream.

Let's see...I remember A Mister Setnick who was very nice, and Gilbert, naturally, and my notebook, and the Saloon, I think it was the Saloon at least, and investiagting and guns and cowboys, whatever those are, and not wanting to come back and that was during a hoedown? I'm not sure, really. It's all so foggy. Hopefully if I write down things I remember I won't ever forget!
